Fritz James Moritz

is a Norwegian singer and songwriter with a significant track record in the music scenes of Bergen and the surrounding areas. He has been steadily gaining a growing fan base. His highly anticipated second album, Lovers Like Us, was set to be released in May 2024.

Fritz James Moritz aimed to elevate his musical journey, and after much anticipation, he has finally completed this record in the legendary Lydetaten studio. Engineered and produced by Daniel Hauge and Fritz James Moritz, the album is a heartfelt tribute to his beloved wife, Kristin.

Lovers Live Us - Fritz James

The album’s title is a hymn dedicated to Kristin, and its first single, «French Connection (Sail Away in a Love Song),» made its official debut at their wedding ceremony on September 16, 2023.

Fritz James Moritz, born Fritz Inge Tredal in Bergen, Norway, in November 1974, is a father of four. His artist name is derived from the middle names of his twin sons. Growing up, he first got his acoustic guitar at the age of nine. Listening to his father’s extensive record collection, his interest in bands such as The Beatles, Gasoline, Nazareth and Hepstars kept growing. He started his first band with classmates and continued making music throughout the years.
He has played at numerous music festivals, including By:Larm in 2000. Additionally, he was named Artist of the Month by the local newspaper BA and has performed live on Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK). His song «One in a Million» was featured in the advertising film festival in Cannes in 2008 and reached potentially hundreds of millions of TV viewers over three weeks on NBC television.
Fritz James Moritz is also a co-owner and founder of Lydetaten together with his regular producer Daniel Hauge. In his daily work, he owns and works in graphic production and runs the brand Fritzprint, which is a concept owned by the company Fritz Frem AS.
